Who is Don Przybylinski and why should I vote for him?

Don Przybylinski has served for 12 years as a Common Council Member At-Large for the people of Michigan City. Don is leading initiatives for more efficient city government spending that focuses on less reliance on river boat funding and creates prosperity for all. He supports incentives that attract new business developments and expand existing businesses that will offer a living wage to Michigan City workers. He has worked to expand the Promise Scholarship Program and create more workforce development opportunities for Michigan City youth. Don continues to support funding for infrastructure improvements to streets and sidewalks in all neighborhoods, and welcomes the arts, artists, designers, and entrepreneurs to enhance and beautify our city. Don believes strongly in the power of community and works collaboratively toward solutions for violent crime, safety issues, resource inequities, and barriers to prosperity for our citizens.


What has Don done for Michigan City during his 12 years on the Michigan City Common Council?

Through collaboration with partners across the city, Don is proud to include among his many accomplishments as a member of the City Council: allocating half a million dollars to Michigan City Area Schools for new computers and technology upgrades; the establishment of the Promise Scholarship; making safety improvements around local schools and parks; improving the streets and sidewalks all across Michigan City, the transformation of the Warren Building into ArtSpace; and revitalizing the downtown corridor, just to name a few.

Don is continuously looking for ways to save taxpayers and the city money to improve the lives of our citizens, to increase tourism and economic development opportunities, to invest in our youth and develop them into tomorrow’s leaders, and to make Michigan City an even better place to live, work, and play.
